Name the founding member and the principal singer-songwriter of the American new wave band Talking Heads.
Byrne, together with Chris Frantz and his girlfriend Tina Weymouth, formed the band, Talking Heads. In June 1975, while still working normal day jobs, the three-piece band had their first gig. Soon after, in November 1976, the band signed with Sire Records.
